The Grandview is made for sauna parties. Measuring 7’x8’, it is a full foot wider than the standard barrel sauna and can fit up to six people. It also has one foot of space allotted to exterior benches, which can hold people, water, towels, and even logs if you opt to upgrade to a wood-burning heater! This sauna comes standard with our Harvia 8kW KIP Heater, which gets the space up to 175-185ºF within the first hour. The sauna has the ability to immediately start, or can be delayed to start up to 8 hours in advance. Stretch out solo in all the extra space or invite friends or the whole family to join; the choice is yours!

Hemfir is lighter in color with small tight knots that give its rustic appearance. Rustic Fir is our most popular lumber for indoor saunas and is also ideal for exterior applications. The exterior of the sauna can be left natural or stained or painted as desired. This lumber is sourced from North America.

Customize the Grandview
Our Canopy Barrel Saunas are available in either Rustic Fir or Rustic Cedar, the optimal lumber of choice because of its natural resistance to the elements, its characteristic aroma, and its softwood properties. Rustic red cedar is also ideal because it will remain comfortable to the touch even when used in the extreme heat of a sauna. If you look closely at our saunas; you’ll also notice that we use thick tempered glass and stainless-steel hardware to support the integrity and durability of the unit as a whole. Lumber is just one of the options you can customize when you directly order through Almost Heaven.
Build the Grandview
The simple grace of a barrel-shaped sauna is found in its ball-and-socket profile, held in place by sturdy stainless-steel bands and minimal fasteners. This arrangement allows the lumber staves to expand and contract to form a tight seal, and the unit sits on polymer support cradles that lift the sauna undercarriage off the ground. The Canopy Barrel Sauna is an expressive take on our classic Barrel Sauna – a design noted for its efficiency, even distribution of heat, and visual appeal. By taking the front round section and setting it back into the sauna, we’ve created a visually appealing and useful outside sitting area – a place to hold towels or drinks or to serve as a relaxing place to cool off between sauna rounds.
